Pray for Syria

Blood stains dry
Children cry,
Bombs explode
With misfortune bestowed.
Houses with dreams shatter,
When the body of loved ones scatter,
Instead of smiling, children yelp for help.
Old souls lie tired of facing unjust,
Unfamiliar with foreign words like trust.
Toys are a sore sight to the eyes,
Now what you see are dead bodies covered in dust.
Children no more hear fairy tales but hopeful lies.
With everyone fretting to say their sudden
goodbyes.
