Silver Beauty

And maybe on the days
When we see the moon,
Close to the sun,
Existing in daylight;
It is because it stays
To hear the song of the first bird,
And the way she wakes up
To welcome the sun,
Maybe the moon wishes
To be the source of light,
That drives her to fly
And signals a beginning;
Maybe on the days we don’t
See the moon in daylight,
It gets tired of lying
To itself and the song of the bird,
That isn’t meant to be
A welcome for the silver beauty
