Pretty Little Lies

Pretty little lies,
When they sing you to sleep
And poisonous lullabies
Flow to your head,
Whispered sounds of taught beliefs
That come across as worshipped saints,
Let the night die away in their
Wait for priceless agony-
Sweetened and lulled to the core,
Made to sound beautiful
And hold the lightness of love,
But we’re living in a forest
That kills its inhabitants
And kisses them good night,
With the touch of venom
Gracing the lips of every leaf.
