Flames in the Sea

If drowning and burning was an art
I would do exceptionally well,
Because every night I drown in my tears
With escalating fears.
Leaving behind memories burning in flames
With scars embedded in my heart.
Wearing smile as a facade,
Letting voices of hopelessness cascade.
Such an irony it is that both fire and water
together can be the perfect cure,
But I let these things destroy me.
